gfal2-plugin-file software package provides Provides file support for gfal2, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gfal2-plugin-file
gfal2-plugin-file is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gfal2-plugin-file package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfal2-plugin-file *
You will get with gfal2-plugin-file package name, version, architecture and description in a table
